When I first started writing poetry in 2017, I did not anticipate writing full songs. Actual music?! Woah.
And then I started performing my songs live, making some side money in a super creative way.
And likewise, as I realized I could write music, I didn’t anticipate using my writing to support small business owners. Now I get to write for them (or with them), helping them break through creative slumps and target the best audiences for them.
You truly never know how your current experiences will lead to future opportunities. Our job isn’t to predict the future, but to show up as willing participants, marching toward a common goal. And hopefully that goal leaves the world a better place.
I strongly believe that small business is one of the best ways to transform the world as we know it.
If you own a small business and you’re coming face to face with a challenging season — remember why you got into this work in the first place.
Of course it’s easier said than done, but please take it one day at a time. Don’t give up on a bad day. The world needs your unique gift!
