Earlier this week, I was set on adding work samples to the KQ Writing Studio portfolio. As sleepy as I felt (Whoopsy, I might’ve been dealing with a caffeine hangover!) I knew the exact 7 samples I would use. So I didn’t think it would be a complicated process.

By the way, the intention behind the portfolio is to demonstrate to entrepreneurs or business owners (whichever you prefer) how blog content fits into the marketing strategy of various types of businesses. If you’re curious, the preliminary version is right here.

The plan of action was in my brain. My hands were ready to type. All I needed was cooperation from WordPress, which was not in the stars for me. Apparently, my website had health problems.

Each time I tried to load my web pages, I was met with an error page. I knew from the error message that it wasn’t my browser’s fault. Instead, it had something to do with my domain.

How do I get my site healthy if I can’t see what’s wrong with it? Arrgghh!

This got me thinking about daily human life. You can have all the desire in the world to fix a problem or to create a better outcome. But if you don’t know which actions to take, you’re left frustrated.

Knowledge is power, and so is patience.

Sometimes the clarity or transformation you desire doesn’t come at the “right” time. But if you’re willing to use the moments of “stuckness” to your advantage, then time is never wasted.

Instead of staring at web pages that simply would not load, I decided to journal and work on other projects that were still related to my final goal.

It turned out to be exactly what I needed. And before I knew it, I found the right WordPress plugin to help my website load faster, and I could return to working at my desired pace.

I know this won’t be the last time I’m baffled by technology. But YAY for a perspective shift!
